If you are a member of a few social networks like me (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn etc.) trying to manage all of them and being able to make decisions on when to interact with your network can be challenging. The goal of being on a social network is two fold.
First is to grow your network and the second being strengthening the relationships with your network with quality engagement. Wouldn't it be nice to aggregate your network's activities all in one place to help you make decisions on who to and how often to interact? Enter, Gist! It provides a blended view of externally acquired information coupled with your conversational data, to paint a vivid picture of your contacts on the various social networks.
For those of you familiar with Xobni (Outlook plug-in), Gist digs through your past emails and organizes information, appointments and communication. However, unlike Xobni, it pulls together from a range of social networking platforms (see screen shot below with my facebook , Twitter and email organized). That's smart, email is only one of many ways people deal with information today. It then displays the organized data in a dashboard format (see below):
Note the list on the left that is organized by Importance (a built in system using various factors) and the upcoming events on the right that was imported from my Outlook account. You can also have a public Gist profile if needed. You can see a couple of ideas on how it may be valuable in Real Estate by reading this Gist blog post. The screen shot below shows the various sources you can have your Gist dashboard connect with:
Finally for all those iPhone users, yes they got an App for that! We should see more Social Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools like Gist as we see more mainstream social networking platform adoption.
