LinkedIn: Now we have an App for that!
The new LinkedIn iPhone 3.0 App was released on Monday, Dec 28 and by all accounts is a MAJOR upgrade from its predecessor. Besides being feature rich, they have done a great job at the usability of the app very similar to the recent Facebook iPhone App.
One of the cool new features is the In Person option which allows you to connect and share contact information with other LinkedIn iPhone users that are in close proximity. It is a business card exchange option built into the app. Any option that allows you to easily extend the social element is a clear win.
Some of the other nice features are to *star* a profile as a favorite and it will highlight them in the update streams and the easy search feature. If you have used the earlier versions of LinkedIn on the iPhone, you will find a world of difference in this one! You can get it free at the iPhone App Store.
