Realty Tech Talk

I recently was in a Barnes and Noble book store and saw the usual Dummies book series and found the Blogging for Dummies book. It is eye catching to say the least and does say something about their brand marketing.

Wiley's Blogging for Dummies

And on November 17th, I attended the Real Estate Virtual Bar Camp (thanks to @retomato and Co.) with 1500+ people tuned in from all over the country. One specific session that I thought would give a head start on Blogging was the Posterous Session done by Brad Carroll (@dakno). It was well presented and really confirmed that Posterous is Blogging for Dummies. I am not at all suggesting that a full content rich blog is not needed which to the contrary is the central hub to your Social media strategy. However, for those of you that have had Blog starting trouble due to the daunting nature and time committment that you see in a full fledged blog, Posterous may be just what the Blog doctor ordered.

Click here to See Brad Carroll's Virtual RE Bar Camp Posterous Session and you will get everything you need to get started.

An example of a good posterous blog is http://media.livingonthehudson.com that uses custom CSS code to match his website design theme.

Happy Thanksgiving!
