Rajeev Sajja The "Gist" of Building Stronger Relationships

If you are a member of a few social networks like me (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn etc.) trying to manage all of them and being able to make decisions on when to interact with your network can be challenging. The goal of being on a social network is two fold.Continue

Tony Klemanski Any good values on a new laptop?

The mother board in my Dell Inspiron 8600 recently failed. I'm thinking of just getting a new one, but don't want to buy or pay for a rocketship. My basic uses are Internet, Microsoft Office suite (brochures/photos, etc.) and the internet based applications that we use here at pru. Would love to just get one with good processing speed, a decent amount of memory that doesn't come loaded with a bunch of applications that I will never use. Any thoughts/suggestions? Continue

Rajeev Sajja Take aways from Inman Real Estate Connect NY 2010

I got a chance to attend the Real Estate Connect 2010 in NY from Wed (1/13) to Fri (1/15) and wanted to summarize my thoughts here. I attended 10 intensive sessions on specific topics besides the Main Conference Program that featured many renowned speakers including Craig Newmark, Founder of Craigslist. The other intangible is to meet some of the people IRL (In Real Life) that I have been following on Twitter for some time. I finally met @phxREguy in the Broker Summit and frankly, he should hav… Continue

Rajeev Sajja Virtual RE Bar Camp - A look back

On Monday, January 4th I attended my first full Virtual RE bar camp (#VREBC) organized by Real Estate Tomato (Jim Cronin and company). I was able to only partially attend the first one back in November but I got all of this! A big shout out to the folks at the Tomato for putting together a fantastic event and all the speakers (yes they were 28, but one could only get 7). Wow! Phenomenal and Kick Ass are the words that come to mind in des… Continue

Rajeev Sajja 15 Ways to make your marketing mobile (by @jburslem) #vrebc

I attended a good presentation from Joel Burslem of 1000 Watt Consulting (shared below) made at Virtual Real Estate Bar Camp today on 15 Ways to make your marketing mobile. Although the audience today was mostly agents, the iPhone App is a tremendous opportunity for brokers to deliver a home finder experience for their customers and also a custom version for their agents.… Continue

Rajeev Sajja LinkedIn: Now we have an App for that!

The new LinkedIn iPhone 3.0 App was released on Monday, Dec 28 and by all accounts is a MAJOR upgrade from its predecessor. Besides being feature rich, they have done a great job at the usability of the app very similar to the recent Facebook iPhone App. One of the cool new features is the In Person option which allows you to connect and share contact information with other LinkedIn iPhone users that are in close proximity. It is a business card exchange option built into the app. Any option th… Continue

Rajeev Sajja 22 Social Media Trends for 2010

Interesting post by Pritt Killas of DreamGrow Digital. Some of the take away's is that Social Media will become part of an overall marketing strategy (it always has been IMO and will just be more recognized in 2010) and we will see more corporate adoption in 2010.

Rajeev Sajja Dec2009 iPhone Apps - Pick 3

On November 19, I surprised my wife with the iPhone 3GS for her birthday and earned serious brownie points as it was least expected. As a result of that, I have started to use it frequently (and helping her with apps) and decided to pick 3 of my favorite apps every month and share it with you. They are in no specific order and are productivity apps that I have personally used and benefited from. 1. Pic2Shop: In the spirit of the holiday season and finding the best shopping deals, this fr… Continue

Rajeev Sajja Blogging for Dummies!

I recently was in a Barnes and Noble book store and saw the usual Dummies book series and found the Blogging for Dummies book. It is eye catching to say the least and does say something about their brand marketing.

Rajeev Sajja In Google We Trust

If you are a real estate professional, being findable has never been more important than now as we see noticeable declines in print media advertising. Being omni present so people can find you starting with Google is more relevant than ever. It is amazing how Google has become a verb as well. I hear "Let's google that!" very regularly now... Over the last few years, Google has become the 800 pound Gorrilla in the Search Engine market and you need to pay attention to your online presence and ho… Continue

Rajeev Sajja Game On! - Droid vs. iPhone

On friday, November 6th, Verizon launched the Droid Smartphone (from Motorola) and hopes to pose a significant challenge to the iPhone. The phone is a collaborative effort between Motorola, Verizon and Google. It looks a lot like the iPhone, and may even be as thin or thinner than the iPhone 3GS.

Rajeev Sajja iPhone vs Blackberry: Which Smart Phone is right for you?

I decided to write this post due to the noticeable surge in this question from our Sales Associates and Employees. iPhone or the Blackberry? Which one is right for you? Let’s take a step back and ask ourselves this question: What features are your must haves for your smart phone? This will go a long way in deciding which way you go. Also, we are not a proponent of change for the sake of a new toy but change is good if it will make us more productive with the right smart phone. All… Continue

Rajeev Sajja Is Open Office ready for Prime Time?

Wikipedia defines Open source as an approach to the design, development, and distribution of software, offering practical accessibility to a software's source code. It is also looked upon by users as offering a free choice to the more expensive software licensing costs from traditional vendors. One of the Open Source software that is available is from OpenOffice.org, the desktop productivity suite that is a credible (free!) rival to Microsoft Office. I recently installed Open Office 3.1.1 (… Continue

Rajeev Sajja Windows 7 is here. Do you need to upgrade?

October 22nd may be just another day for most of us, but Microsoft is hoping it will be a big day for them with the retail launch of their newest Operating System, Windows 7. Windows 7 is the operating system that Microsoft hoped Vista would have been. I have been using the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) on my Fusion VM for a few months now and my overall impressions are positive. It starts up relatively quickly, drivers already exist to make peripherals (scanners, printers etc.) work with it… Continue

Real Estate Mobile Technology is maturing at a rapid pace and has seen the iPhone gain in popularity in a big way. Rajeev Sajja URL Shorteners: The Good and Bad

Say it in 140! Twitter the fast growing micro blogging platform is simple to use. You have up to 140 characters to say whatever you want to say (hopefully something of value to your community). This has led to the numerous URL shorteners that have come into the market. Rajeev Sajja Social Media (Next Gen) Business Card: Do you have one?

Social Media is surging in popularity and doesn't appear to stop anytime soon. Social Media in real estate is fast becoming a competitive edge for real estate agents. If you are like me, you have a few social networks you participate in. I found this *free* service, card.ly that allows you to get a URL (for example, mine is http://card.ly/rsajja) and make it easy for one to include it in your email signature, website (the service even provides… Continue
