I finally saw the Blackberry Bold (exclusive to AT & T) that my brother has and did a quick compare with my curve. It is slightly larger, heavier and has a better interface (screen, keyboard) compared to the Curve. IMO, too early to think about switching and would recommend waiting for the higher memory version of Bold.

This WSJ video outlines the benefits and drawbacks of the bold:

I like my curve, I just wish it had a better internet browser. The 1GB of memory on the bold, combined with the price is enough to keep me away. The Iphone will have to be given a serious look by me in the future though! I just wish the Iphone could figure out a way to add a qwerty keyboard.

I think the best choice out there is the iphone. It is easy to interphase with your contact manager and your email accounts. It also does have a qwerty keyboard, it pops up when you need to type anything.

A more appropriate discussion topic here is which smart phone is right for you? (I changed the topic to that!). It is a bit too early for the Bold as the RAM is lesser than ideal. I think the "Storm" will compete against the iphone, just my initial observation.... Time will tell.

Iphone is the smart phone of choice as of today.

I am looking into purchasing the iphone soon, anything I should know or ask for???

The only choices you have is the 8GB or the 16GB version? For an extra $100 the additional 8GB is worth it as it will cost you more to upgrade later.

The iPhone blows the Bold away. The Bold is a great device but the iPhone has a much better browsing experience especially for Transaction Point, Postini and eShowings. Although the Blackberry Bold is great for email the iPhone has much better screen resolution and more real estate. Try logging into My EzAccess on a Blackberry then the iPhone, The iPhone wins hands down. As far as the Storm I have help played with one and it has the same browsing capabilities as the Bold.

Good stuff gary! I would vote for iphone more on the basis of the interface and plug in Apps (trulia etc) rather than the browsing capability. It is obvious you may be using it for the browsing capability, but I am not sure how often one would login to eshowings, or myezaccess on a iphone or a blackberry. This difference will be minimized once the websites are mobilized.

My comment on the storm is just a hunch based on my reading but am still waiting to get my hands on one. After having said that, iphone is the smart phone of choice for real estate agents today.

Rumor has it The Storm by Verizon will be available November 14th, Of course I will have to buy one to check out. A friend of mine was at the Launch Party in LA for The Storm last week and he loved it but didn't like that you had to turn the phone horizontal to get the QWERTY keyboard. In the vertical postion the keyboard is just like The Pearl. Also the processor in The Bold is much faster than The Storm. The Storm has no WiFi either. Could be a deal killer.

It's official --- November 21st the Blackberry Storm will be available at all Verizon retail location as well as online. Who will be the first PruFoxRoach agent to get one?

For what it's worth, whoever gets it can be featured on RTT for a week!

I just received a private invitation from Verizon to get a Storm on Monday 11/17. I'm going to check it out and see what it has to offer. Not sure why I received the invite, it's not like the invites I get from the casinos to bring me back to lose more money :) I'll report back.

I am resisting the temptation to stand in line on 11/21 to get the Storm.
